ChatGPT Can Now Text People For You via Apple Messages

OpenAI launched a new plug-in that lets ChatGPT send text messages on your behalf directly through Apple Messages. For a small business owner, this means you could have AI draft and send follow-ups to customers, appointment reminders, or quick replies to inquiries without opening a separate app or typing everything yourself. It's a practical, everyday tool rather than a flashy research breakthrough—the kind of thing that could actually save you time this week. Since it works right inside the Messages app most people already use on iPhone, there's no new software to learn or pay extra for. Worth trying if you handle a lot of customer texts and want to see if it can lighten that load.
