HR software company Rippling spent millions of dollars on AI tools in just a few months before realizing it had no way to track whether that spending was actually paying off. In response, it built and launched an "AI Spend Console" that shows exactly how much each employee or team is spending on AI tools and what value they're getting in return. This matters for small business owners because it's easy to sign up for lots of AI subscriptions (ChatGPT, Copilot, various add-ons) without ever checking if they're worth the cost.
